In this mini-episode of Soul Led Creative Women, Sam Horton reads an original poem taken from a personal reflective creative moment of her every day life.

This one is titled "Self Love"

And asks the question:
What part of you is quietly asking to be seen, held, and loved, just as you are, in this season of your life?

Let this question be a doorway. You don’t need all the answers, just the willingness to begin.

Sam says: It’s not loud or showy. It doesn't need to be earned. Instead, it’s a remembering of who we are beneath the noise. Of the beauty that’s already blooming within us, even if we haven’t noticed. And when we finally pause long enough to listen, to truly see ourselves without judgment, we start to feel it, that quiet kind of power, rooted in truth and nourished by compassion.

Take care,
Sam x

Ep 58: Self Love

[00:00:00]

Hey, Sam here. This is a bonus mini episode featuring one of my substack poems. this episode is only a few minutes long, but I hope it brightens your day in some way.

So this week's poem is a gentle, reflection on the concept of self-love. There are seasons in life when self-love can feel really distant, like something that's reserved for another version of ourselves. You know, one that's more healed, more accomplished, more certain. Um, but the truth is self-love often begins in the quiet, in the cracks, in the tender, in between moments where we choose to soften instead of strive.

It's not loud or showy. It doesn't need to be earned. Um, instead it's a remembering of who we are beneath the noise of the beauty that's already blooming within us. Even if we haven't [00:01:00] noticed, and when we finally pause long enough to listen, to truly see ourselves without judgment, we start to feel it.

That kind of quiet power, rooted in truth and nourished by compassion. There's something sacred about meeting yourself in this way. Not to fix, but to honor, not to perform, but to tend. And it's in this space that healing happens softly, steadily, soulfully. as you're listening to the poem, I ask you to reflect, what part of you is quietly asking to be seen, held, and loved just as you are in this season of your life. I hope this question can be a doorway. You don't need all the answers. Just a willingness to begin now for the poem. Enjoy self love. Self love begins not with a roar, but a soft remembering, a whisper from your soul. Gently tugging you [00:02:00] home. It's not found in the mirror, but in the quiet moments, you choose to see yourself with tenderness, acceptance, free from judgment or expectation. A practice a blooming a sacred return. She does not shout. She stands rooted in truth wrapped in soul flowers luminous with inner glow. you see inside you. An unseen garden grows. Wild flowers of worth, petals of truth. New growth of strength. Perhaps you've walked past it, searching for answers and other eyes not knowing that the blooms you long for have always lived within. Hey, Sam here.
