In this mini-episode of Soul Led Creative Women, Sam Horton reads an original poem taken from a personal reflective creative moment of her every day life.
This one is titled "Sweetest Moments"
And asks the question:
What small, simple moment in your life could you choose to savor more fully, and how might it bring you a deeper sense of joy?
Sam says: Sometimes we rush through life and miss out on the beauty of the moment, even when it’s right in front of us. Taking a second to really appreciate the sweetness of the small moments, is a celebration of life’s small but powerful pleasures.
Take care,
Sam x

Ep 49: Sweetest Moments
===
[00:00:00]
So this week's poem is called Sweetest Moments. And it reflects a moment when I discovered the sweetest, most delicious strawberries I've ever tasted. I could have easily just eaten them and moved on, but instead I decided to really savor the experience. As I took a moment to enjoy them, I realized how much joy they brought me.
And it was then that I noticed that the words, uh, sweetest batch were on the box and it hit me. These weren't just any strawberries. They deserved to be celebrated, and it was really a reminder to me that sometimes we rush through life and miss out on the beauty of the moment, even when it's right in front of us.
[00:01:00] By taking a second to really appreciate the sweetness of those strawberries, I found myself feeling a deep sense of joy and this experience became a little celebration of life's small but powerful pleasures. So as you are listening to this poem, I invite you to reflect. What small, simple moment in your life could you choose to save them more fully?
And how might it bring you a deeper sense of joy? Just look out for those little moments and take a moment now for the poem. Enjoy
sweetest moments. Brighter than a ruby, one of nature's finest jewels. Oh, how you glean with pride, plump, ripe, and ready. Your sweetness unexpected. A delightful surprise. I didn't notice before I [00:02:00] devoured you, but now upon your perforated box, I see the words sweetest batch. Quite simply, there should be no other.
For yours holds the fairest strawberries of them all, sensual, sophisticated, pure, yet small, like bursts of sunshine on my tongue. Your presence brings joy in every bite. A reminder to savor life's sweetest moments. Hey, Sam here.
